Do you own an AK Romanian OR a Chinese drum mag??
How to load a ROMY drum the easy way - hey, if you ain't cheatin, you ain't tryin...
============= Yes. It will work as 3, then 1, then 3, then 1, and so on. Most don't know this. Fiddle with loading the first rounds (pressing with thumb & lever) until you notice that you can load up to 3 rounds at once WITHOUT PRESSING THE LEVER then .. press the lever the full length down. All 3 rounds will be expedited. Then release the lever and with your thumb load one round on top like a mag, then press the lever (won't go as far). Then release the lever and load 3 rounds individually, one after the other, on top with your thumb just like a mag WITHOUT PRESSING THE LEVER then .. you'll notice no more will press in. Once again, expedite all three rounds at once by pressing the lever all the way down. Release. Load 1 round (only one will load without pressing lever like before), press lever, and repeat with the 3 and so on.... =============== Kudos go to ZANE over on AK Gunsnet forum OK, as I posted that one, here are the loading directions that I GOT with my Chinese drum. http://www.goldismoney.info/forums/a...1&d=1192416932 Here is the AK Magazine Identification Chart http://www.goldismoney.info/forums/a...1&d=1192417901 |

:aetsch:..... ......:stickyman Norinco drums can be a pain sometimes too, sometimes it loads 76 rounds, sometimes 74. Not sure what I'm doing wrong :confused_ma: Have two, might sell, PM with offer if interested... :D Good find Wallew. |
Re: Do you own an AK Romanian drum mag??
Hmmmm......I noticed a 1 - 3 pattern on the first few but then afterwards just thought I always needed to use the thumb lever.
Anyhow, I'll try this out as it should be much quicker and easier on my thumb. ......went to the range over the weekend and my Drum worked fantastic with no mis-feeds or jams. The RPK is quite accurate and of course the scope helps too. I was shooting groupings the size of a half-dollar at 25-yds........with practice I should improve to a quarter size. :bear_tongue: |

Re: Do you own an AK Romanian drum mag??
BJ,
It depends on your local laws. Check with your county 'farm agent' (?) or the wildlife agency of your state. |
